International friendlies, the USA’s MLS and the Norwegian First Division are in the mix in this weekend fixtures. We’ve looked through the games and provided recent form and head-to-head statistics for five matches we think have the potential to end in a draw.

Montenegro vs Georgia

Montenegro host Georgia for a friendly in Podgorica. They last met in World Cup 2010 qualifying and Montenegro won 2-1 at home following a 0-0 draw in the reverse fixture.

Montenegro beat Belarus (2-0) and North Macedonia (1-0) in friendlies back in March and will return home after a friendly with Belgium in Brussels midweek.

Georgia booked their place in Euro 2024 after beating Greece on penalties in their play-off final back in March. Georgia’s only defeat in their last six matches was a 3-1 loss to Spain in qualifying.

USA vs Colombia

The USA and Colombia meet for a friendly in Maryland. Colombia won 4-2 in a friendly between the pair in Florida in 2018, but another friendly in California last year finished 0-0.

The USA lost 1-0 to Slovenia in their last friendly match, but went on to win the CONCACAF Nations League in March, by beating Jamaica 3-1 in the semi-finals and Mexico 2-0 in the final.

Colombia are unbeaten in their last twenty-one matches (16W, 5D). The last four have all been victories in friendlies against Venezuela (1-0), Mexico (3-2), Spain (1-0) and Romania (3-2).

Sporting Kansas City vs Seattle

Sporting Kansas City (14th Western Conference) host Seattle (10th Western Conference) in the USA’s Major League Soccer. Seattle ran out 4-1 winners in this fixture last season and Kansas won 2-1 in the reverse.

Sporting Kansas City have lost their last seven league matches, but six of those defeats were by a one goal margin. The exception was a 3-1 loss away at Minnesota last weekend.

Seattle have only lost one of their last seven league matches. They beat St Louis City 2-1 in their last away game and followed that with a 1-1 draw hosting Real Salt Lake.

Mjondalen vs Ranheim

Mjondalen and Ranheim meet in Norway’s second tier OBOS-Ligaen or First Division. Ranheim clinched a 2-1 in this fixture last season and Mjondalen scored a 94th minute winner to edge a 3-2 victory in the reverse.

Mjondalen have managed just two wins in ten league matches this season, but have avoided defeat in five of their six home games. They return to home turf after a 1-1 draw away at Lyn.

Ranheim were narrowly beaten 3-2 by Bryne in their last away game and lost 3-1 hosting 2nd placed Valerenga last weekend. Three of their last four away games have ended in a stalemate.
